Silvia Gonzalez, originally hailing from Michoacan, Mexico and brought to the US at the age of 12 years old, is a certified Yoga instructor currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Metropolitan State University of Denver. From an early age, she comprehended the profound influence of food on people’s mental and physical well-being.
With a professional background in the healthcare industry and expertise in addressing food accessibility issues in the metro area, Silvia is deeply passionate about leveraging food justice and education to foster healthier communities. In her leisure time, she relishes the company of her loved ones, enjoys exploring new culinary delights, dedicates herself to the practice and teaching of Yoga, and embraces the natural beauty of the outdoors in Colorado.
In her role as a Food Access Program Manager, Silvia Gonzalez aspires to continue sowing the seeds of life through her work at the Montbello Organizing Committee, aiming to create a positive and lasting impact on the Montbello community.
